髋臼发育不良是指浅髋臼，不能提供足够的覆盖股骨头，从而导致髋关节不稳定。

术语

髋臼发育不良是一种发育性髋关节发育不良（DDH），常在青少年和成人中出现。

流行病学

成人髋关节发育不良的患病率估计为0.1%，多见于女性。男性明显与后上性缺陷有关。
