Edited video showing an endoscopic stapedotomy, surgery for otosclerosis. Endoscopes may provide a better view, when compared to the surgical microscope in middle ear surgery. Note the elevation of the flap with a close-up view, observing the annulus, posterior malleolar ligament and also middle ear structures such as oval window niche, facial nerve, anterior and posterior crura of stapes, ponticulum, subiculum, finiculum, tunnel, round window niche, chorda tympani, among other important structures. Because of this close-up, wide-angle and angulated view it is possible to have a better understanding of the surgery, enhancing teaching objectives,  avoiding possible difficulties and complications during surgery.
