This is a video of our technique for Robotic Diaphragm Plication, performed at the James Cook University Hospital.
We were assisted by Professor Franca Melfi and we are most grateful for her help in setting up our robotic programme.
We use a 4 port technique, docking the robot from below the patient. we use pledged 2.0 horizontal mattress sutures.
We were delighted with the results and our patients went home 2 days later.
We believe that his was the first robotic diaphragm plication in the UK
