Meniscus repair- the future is here

Partial meniscus removal alleviates symptoms in the short term, but it also leads to progressive arthritis and eventual joint replacement. Meniscus repair on the other hand (sewing the meniscus back together) preserves the chondroprotecting function of the meniscus and maximizes the long term health of the knee. This 5 minute video was presented at the Orthopaedic Summit meeting in Las Vegas in December 2014. It reviews a revolutionary new meniscus repair device that enables repair of most all tear types in otherwise healthy knees.
