This video show endoscopic Tonsil Stone / Infected Cheesy Material Removal from Tonsillar Crypt in young girl .

She complain of frequent cold , cough , post nasal drip , throat irritation & left ear pain on -off since last 7 days.

On examination , throat congested , left tonsil septic & posterior pharyngeal wall show post nasal drip , Nose congested & Ears are Normal .

Medications & mouth gargles are prescribed for 7 days with mild relief . After 7 days , she was still having refer left ear pain on-off & septic left tonsil .

Endoscopic infected Cheesy Material Removal done from left Tonsillar Crypt .

She got relief from symptoms after procedure .

Tonsil stones (Tonsilloliths)-
It is seen in chronic tonsillitis when holes in tonsils are blocked with retention of food particles & debris. Inorganic salts of calcium and magnesium are then deposited leading to formation of a stones. It then gradually enlarge and ulcerate through the tonsil.

Tonsil stones are commonly seen in adults and give rise to local discomfort or foreign body sensation.

Treatment is simple removal of the stones or
tonsillectomy ( if associated with pus or debris or stone cannot be removed ).
